It took five minutes of overtime, but the Warriors were able to do what they always do: move on. They swept the Blazers with a 119-117 win in a game that took many surprising twists and turns on the way to a familiar ending.
The Lakers didn’t make the playoffs, but continue to make headlines. As they introduced new coach Frank Vogel, GM Rob Pelinka and former Lakers executive Magic Johnson engaged in public and embarrassing mudslinging.
Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes broke his ankle in a non baseball activities on Monday, which means Mets GM Brodie Van Wagenen may try to void Cespedes’ contract...that he helped negotiate as Cespedes’ former agent, putting the Mets in one hell of a pickle.
