The town hall will begin at 3 p.m. EST

theGrio will be hosting a two-hour town hall event this Sunday.

The live discussion will focus on issues such as voter rights, social justice, economic inclusion, other related topics. The Allen Media Group event start will start at 3 p.m. EST.

The event will stream live on this website and on theGrio’s Facebook page.

“This election is an extremely important event for America and especially for Black America,” Byron Allen, Founder/Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group/Entertainment Studios, said.

“The most powerful way to stop the genocide against Black America is to vote. Simply put, vote for your life!!!”

The conversation will be hosted by theGrio’s Vice President of Digital Content Natasha S. Alford and feature John Legend, April Ryan, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx and more.

theGrio’s owner, Byron Allen, will also make an appearance. Billionaire comedian Allen purchased theGrio, a digital news platform dedicated to providing Black people with stories and perspectives, in 2016.

The website currently has more than 80 million annual visitors.

Entertainment Studios, or Allen Media Group, is headquartered in Los Angeles and has been in established since 1993.

The company has offices throughout America: New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and Raleigh.

Allen has been expending his business, even in the midst of the pandemic, by purchasing 16 U.S. ABC-NBC-CBS-FOX network affiliate broadcast television stations and eight 24-hour HD television networks/streaming services serving nearly 180 million subscribers.

The purchases include The Weather Channel, Pets.Tv., Comedy.Tv, Recipe.Tv, Cars.Tv, Es.Tv, MyDestination.Tv, and JusticeCentral.Tv.

On June 11, the media mogul settled a high-profile legal battle over alleged racism by cable provider Comcast Corp., which also owns NBC and all of its properties. The case reached the U.S. Supreme Court during their five year dispute.
