The billboard atop this building, as if shouting from the rooftops, made it clear to customers that they had arrived at the right place.

It wasn't any old advertisement. It told of what lies below: International Harvester.

A branch of the truck manufacturer filled this uniquely shaped garage for nearly two decades. The sales and service operation opened in 1945 and moved out in 1963, after the company built a new branch a few miles away.

The old garage was later subdivided, with a succession of businesses, including a few bars, moving in and out over the years.

A succession of advertisements has filled the billboard since the trucking company moved out. Here's a clue: The billboard now holds an advertisement for bus driver training.
