Following Princess Beatrice's private marriage ceremony last summer, the British monarchy will likely be done with nuptials for a while, but that doesn't mean the world is devoid of royal weddings.

Today, Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark, the youngest son of King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, wed his wife, Nina Flohr, in a religious ceremony at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens. The bride wore a Chanel gown and the Antique Corsage tiara, a diamond and pearl piece which royal jewelry blog the Court Jeweller cites as "the first tiara" Queen Anne-Marie ever owned.

Several members of other European royal families were in attendance at the event, including Queen Sofia of Spain, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Today's ceremony was the third in a trio of wedding celebrations for the couple. Back in June of this year, Prince Philippos and Nina reportedly marked their marriage in Cambridge with a party at Stibbington House, the home of Alice and Tom Naylor-Leyland. And they first tied the knot this month in an intimate civil ceremony in St. Mortiz in December 2020. The royal bride confirmed the news of their wedding with a sweet social media post captioned: "Just married (civilly)"

Per People, "Due to Switzerland’s strict Covid-19 restrictions, only the couple’s fathers King Constantine, 80, (Prince William's godfather) and Thomas Flohr, 60, were present at the civil ceremony."

King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie initially announced that their youngest son was engaged in September 2020.

"Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie are delighted to announce the engagement of their youngest son HRH Prince Philippos to Nina Nastassja Flohr, daughter of Thomas Flohr and Katharina Flohr," reads a statement from the monarch's office, according to People. While Greece abolished their monarchy in 1974, King Constantine, Queen Anne-Marie, and their children still use their titles and have close ties to several other royal families in Europe. Notably, Constantine is Prince William's godfather and a distant cousin of Prince Charles.

People also reported that the happy couple got engaged "on the Greek island of Ithica."

"My dearest Philippos. I love you today, I will love you tomorrow and forever," the bride said on Instagram at the time. "You make us happier, better and stronger. I cannot wait to spend the rest our lives together."
