Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie welcomed their second child! François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume was born on March 27, 2023 at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg.

"Princess Stéphanie and the baby are doing well," the Grand Ducal Court announced. "The Hereditary Grand Duke couple and Prince Charles are looking forward to introducing you to Prince François." Prince François is the seventh grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.

Just a few days after his birth, the Grand Ducal Court of Luxembourg released photos of the baby prince:

The royals are already parents to Prince Charles, who was born in 2020. Charles is second in line to the throne, after his father.

"Today is a wonderful day, for my wife and for myself," Prince Guillaume said following the birth of his eldest son. "And probably the most incredible day that we will have in our life, because to be able to greet a child that comes into one’s life is the most magical thing, parenting, a couple can have."

Because Charles was born in May 2020, he met his royal grandparents Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa over FaceTime.

The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg have five children, and six grandchildren. The new royal baby will be their seventh grandchildren, and the baby will be third in line of the order of succession.

To celebrate, Prince Guillaume and Princess Stéphanie have asked in lieu of gifts, well-wishers donate to the Luxembourg Children's Village Foundation.
