ThesCon returns to Columbus on Thursday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The 2024 Georgia Thespian Conference is back in town from Feb. 1 to Feb. 3.

The conference, also known as ThesCon, brings thousands of theatre students from across Georgia to the Fountain City each year.

ThesCon is hosted in various Columbus venues including the Columbus Trade Center, The RiverCenter, The Springer Opera House, and the CSU Riverside Theatre, where attendees take part in a variety of workshops and other theatre-centric events.

Traffic is expected to pick up in the downtown Columbus area during the conference, and if you’re looking to get lunch or grab coffee in the heart of Muscogee County, you may encounter some longer-than-usual lines.
