These are the top 20 cities in the world in terms of international tourist arrivals according to market research firm Euromonitor.

Asia remains at the top of the league for city tourism, with China gaining in global dominance as a popular destination for business and leisure travel.

European cities remain classics ‘must-see destinations’, with both London and Paris standing firm in the top 10. 

The countdown was built from the results of a global travel research programme conducted in 57 core countries, by in-country analysts.
