Thibodaux is a top-ranking town in 'Best Small Town Food Scene' contest
Thibodaux is a top-ranking town for USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice Award for Best Small Town Food Scene and was named among Budget Travel's Coolest Towns of 2022.
Thibodaux ranked second for Best Small Town Food Scene, following Abington, Virginia, which also won the contest the past two years. Last year, Thibodaux, the only town representing Louisiana, placed third in the contest.
USA Today readers were invited to cast their votes on 20 towns that were nominated for the contest to select the top 10. Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism noted in a news release that this contest will help bring attention to Thibodaux's flavorful food scene to "millions of potential visitors from around the country."

"We couldn’t have done it without everyone who voted for Thibodaux and, more importantly, all the chefs and restaurants that contribute to our unique food culture here in Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou," the tourism organization said.
Thibodaux was also named among Budget Travel's Coolest Small Towns of 2022. Budget Travel is an online travel publication that was founded as a magazine in 1998. Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism said Budget Travel wanted to focus on small towns this year that also have strong and thriving communities.
