Easter comes early this weekend with events at Columbia's local parks, Gumbo Sunday at Amber Falls and your last chance to catch a childhood classic onstage.

1. Easter Bunny at Maury County Park

Celebrate the start of spring by taking the kids out to see the Easter Bunny, who will make multiple appearances this weekend.

On Saturday, Maury County Park will play host to a Spring Carnival & Easter Bunny Arrival from 1-6 p.m. The event will include several arts and crafts vendors, life-size mechanical animals, balloon artists and more.

Kids can pay a visit to the Easter Bunny, who will be inside the Maury County Senior Center offering instantly-printed photos. Tickets are $10 each.

The Easter Bunny will also show up this weekend at Baxter's Mercantile, 808 S. Garden St., offering free pictures from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Pets are also welcome.

2. Easter Grab & Go at Riverwalk

Columbia will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt this weekend at Riverwalk Park as part of its Easter Grab & Go event.

Bring the kids to Columbia's annual Easter Egg Hunt at Riverwalk Park, which will be the site of this year's Easter Grab & Go.

The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with times set up for specific age groups.

Kids ages 10-12 can hunt starting at 9:30 a.m., with kids ages 7-9 following at 10 a.m. and kids ages 5 and under at 10:30 a.m.

3. Gumbo Sunday at Amber Falls

Amber Falls will host another of its popular Gumbo Sundays this weekend starting at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, featuring Box of Rox from 1-4 p.m.

With the weather warming up, now is a good time to enjoy a Sunday afternoon out in the country sipping award-winning wines at Amber Falls.

Amber Falls Winery & Cellars, 794 Ridgetop Road, will host another of its popular Gumbo Sundays this weekend starting at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

This month's lineup includes live music from Box of Rox, who will perform from 1-4 p.m.

There will also be fresh Cajun gumbo served up from 12:30-3 p.m.

There is no cost for admission to Gumbo Sunday.

4. Charlotte's Web final run at MCAG

The Maury County Arts Guild will debut Charlotte's Web with three performances this weekend.

This weekend will be your final chance to catch a children's classic onstage at the Maury County Arts Guild.

The MCAG, 705 Lion Parkway, will host its final run of "Charlotte's Web," with two performances starting at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $20 each, or $15 for seniors, students and military and $10 for kids ages 10 and under. Tickets are available for purchase at www.TicketPeak.com.

5. Live entertainment

The Jolly String Quartet will perform at Puckett's in downtown Columbia starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Comedy fans will want to check out a night with Heather Land, who will perform at The Mulehouse, 812 S. High St., starting at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $35 and are available at www.TheMulehouse.com.

South Margin will perform a free show in The Mulehouse's downstairs lounge, 812 S. High St., starting at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Radio Farm will perform at The Tilted Mule, 102 Depot St., starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The Bottom Dollar Band will perform at The Boondox, 3543 Highway 431, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Powerplay Band will perform at Ember's Tavern & Grille, 2513 Hospitality Drive, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Black Hole Sons will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway in Spring Hill, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Blue Ashes will perform at The Rebel Bar and Grill, 307 Riverside Drive, starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Fozzy's Bar & Grill will host Fozzy's Acoustic Fest from 1-8 p.m. Sunday, featuring performances from Kayla Hill from 1-2 p.m., Reba’s Hairdo from 2-3 p.m., Vincent Palilla from 3-4 p.m. and Back 2 Basics from 4-5 p.m. Brandon Bartley and Todd Ciprian will headline from 5-8 p.m.
