This weekend comes ripe with opportunities to brighten the home with new floral arrangements, as well as outdoor fun with a movie or the chance to learn the basics of pickleball.

1. Liberty Grace 'You Pick Sunflower' final weekend

This will be your final weekend to enjoy the gorgeous sunflower blooms at Liberty Grace Farms at its annual You Pick Sunflower Festival.

Admission is $12 per person, with kids ages two and under getting in for free. Sunflowers are available for purchase at $1 per stem.

The festival will be open to guests from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, as well as noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Grace Farms, 1966 Hicks Lane.

2. An Evening of Flowers at Bloomstall

Beat the heat with an evening of creative arrangements and gorgeous blooms as Bloomstall hosts a special Evening with Flowers Event.

The event will take place starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at Bloomstall, 510 N. Garden St. This is a limited engagement, with admission costing $65 per person.

Guests will create their own floral arrangement to take home, while learning a few tips and tricks along the way. All tools, flowers and vases will be provided.

All attendees will also receive 15% off any purchases made at the shop during the event.

3. Outdoor Movie Night at C1 Church

C1 Church will host a free outdoor movie night starting at 7 p.m. Friday, which will include free popcorn, cotton candy and school supplies while supplies last.

Now here's an event that'll knock out two important things during this time of year - good times outdoors and prepping for the next school year.

C1 Church, 907 Nashville Highway, will host a free family-friendly outdoor movie night starting at 7 p.m. Friday.

In addition to the free movie, guests will enjoy free popcorn and cotton candy. Joey's Italian Ice will also be set up onsite during the event.

And in an effort to help parents cut costs on getting back to school, C1 Church will also be giving away free school supplies while they last.

4. Pickleball Beginner's Clinic at Macedonia

Columbia Parks & Recreation will host a Beginner's Pickleball Clinic at Macedonia Recreation Center this Saturday, with two sessions starting at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

It's the latest trend that keeps getting more popular every year, yet many might not know the first thing about this crazy pickleball craze everyone keeps talking about.

Columbia Parks & Recreation, along with the Macedonia Recreation Center, will host a special Pickleball Beginner's Clinic starting at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, with both sessions running two hours.

The clinic will be offered at the Macedonia Center, 501 Armstrong St. Register at www.Secure.Rec1.com.

The Phillips will perform at Mt. Pleasant Grille, 100 S. Main St. in Mt. Pleasant, starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
