LCHS Theater presents "Sound of Music"

When: May 6th and May 7th at 7 p.m. and May 8th at 2 p.m.

Where: Lincoln Community High School Auditorium

Cost: Tickets available at the door, $10 for adults/$8 for children under 5, students and seniors.

Details: The classic musical with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The story is based on the 1949 memoir of Maria von Trapp, The Story of the Trapp Family Singers.

Class of 2022 Senior Parade

When: Saturday, May 7 starts at 5 p.m. at the Logan County Fairgrounds. Line up begins at 4:30 p.m.

Where: Leave the Fairgrounds going North on Old 66, East on Woodlawn,East on Keokuk,South on Kickapoo, East on Broadway, South on McLean, West on Pulaski,South on Kickapoo,East on Wyatt to LCHS Parking Lot.

Cost: free

Details: Lincoln Community High School is hosting a Senior Class of 2022 Parade to honor their graduates. All graduating seniors are welcome to participate.

"Purses for a Purpose"

When: from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 7

Where: Lincoln Banquet Center, 201 Madigan Dr., in Lincoln

Cost: Tickets are $25 for individual or $40 for two

Details: The Logan County Professionals Network, is planning a fundraising event that will support the efforts of the Moms Who Care organization. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar along with music. The live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. and music will start at 9 p.m.

Humane Society of Logan County Breakfast and Pie Fundrasier

When: from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 8

Where: American Legion Post 263, 1740 5th Street, in Lincoln

Cost: $10 each ticket, grade school children eat free
