Maury County will kick off June with another festive First Fridays, as well as the inaugural Homestead Festival at Rory Feek's farm, end of school bashes and more.

1. Homestead Festival at Feek Farm

Go back to the basics of farm living and homesteading this weekend, along with a roundup of great live music and food at the first ever Homestead Festival.

The two-day festival will feature dozens of demonstrators showcasing the art of "homesteading," or ways to provide sustainable living through things like gardening, plant and livestock raising and ways to live off the land.

Being a Rory Feek festival, there will also be two fun nights of live music, including headliner Kevin Costner & Modern West, who will perform Saturday night. Other notable artists include Grand Ole Opry alumni The Isaacs, as well as Feek and Brotherly Love.

Tickets are $295 for general admission and $500 for VIP. To purchase tickets and view the full schedule, visit www.TheHomesteadFestival.com.

Also be sure to follow Feek's YouTube page, where he has been posting "Flogs," leading up to the festival, showing what attendees can expect and why the subject of homesteading is more vital and important today than ever before.

2. First Fridays

This weekend will feature another festive First Fridays in downtown Columbia, with main events running from 5-8 p.m. and feature live music, food trucks and special summer sales.
