Lunar New Year Celebration at Asian Cultures Museum

The Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Center presents the Lunar New Year celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at 1809 N. Chaparral St. The day will be filled with fun activities for the whole family. From origami lessons, folklore readings, and so much more. Bring the family out to the museum and celebrate the Year of the Tiger. COVID-19 precautions will be in place and masks required. Harbor Playhouse presents ‘Clue: The Musical’

Harbor Playhouse presents “Clue: The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 13 at 1802 N. Chaparral St. The internationally popular game is now a fun-filled musical that brings the world’s best-known suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room, and with what weapon. Aurora Arts Theatre presents ‘Our Lady of the Tortilla’

Aurora Arts Theatre presents “Our Lady of the Tortilla” at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays Jan. 28 through March 12 at 5635 Everhart Road. The Cruz family is volatile even in the best of times, but when one finds the face of the Holy Virgin in a tortilla, the miracle brings hordes of believers and reporters to camp out on the Cruz's lawn. As the family struggles with beliefs and conflicts, old and new, the endurance of family love is revealed to be the real miracle. Cost: $20 general admission. Intersession Camp: The Wizarding World of Science

The Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History presents Intersession Camp: The Wizarding World of Science from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 through Friday, Feb. 4 at 1900 N. Chaparral St. Intersession Camp is a fun and engaging educational program for kids in grades Kindergarten through 6th (ages 5-13). Campers are sorted into the “Hardworking Hippocrates” house and the “Effervescent Einsteins” house, where they will begin their journey to become a science wiz! Campers explore various subjects, including Charms, Potions, Herbology, Care for Magical Creatures, Astronomy, and Triwizard Sporting. Lunch and snack provided. Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History

Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays at 1900 N. Chaparral St. Visit this 90,000 square-foot facility that is the repository for hundreds of thousands of artifacts and historically significant items while learning about science and history through exhibits and programming to inspire curiosity, understanding and an enduring thirst for knowledge. Texas State Aquarium

The Texas State Aquarium is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays at 2710 N. Shoreline Blvd. Visitors of all ages and can get up close and interact with many different kinds of animals, enjoy educational and entertaining exhibits featuring more than 300 species, learn about conservation and how our actions impact the other inhabitants of both the ocean and land, and thrill at exciting presentations featuring bottlenose dolphins, raptors and other kinds of birds, and an assortment of fascinating mammals. USS Lexington Museum on the Bay

The USS Lexington Museum on the Bay is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 2914 N. Shoreline Blvd. Tour the longest serving Essex Class aircraft carrier of World War II. The 16-deck "Blue Ghost" displays military artifacts and more than 20 aircraft, take one of five tour routes, visit the 3D Mega Theater, flight simulator and more. South Texas Botanical Gardens

The South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 8545 S. Staples St. Tour the 182-acre showcase on Oso Creek or stop by one of the specialty gardens or the screened Butterfly House, Anderson Bromeliad or Samuel Jones Orchid Conservatory. And don't forget to visit the resident reptiles and parrots. Masks are required for all indoor spaces (including for vaccinated individuals). Cost: $9 for adults (13-59 years old); $7 adults 60 and older, active military and college students; $5 children (3-12 years old); and free for members and children under 3 years. Art Museum of South Texas

The Art Museum of South Texas is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays at 1902 N. Collier Pool, Natatorium open for lap and general swim

Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department's Collier Pool, 3801 Harris Drive and Corpus Christi Natatorium, 3202 Cabaniss Pkwy., are open for lap and general swim for the spring 2022 season. Collier general swim hours are 4:30-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lap swim hours are 5–7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Natatorium general swim hours are 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Lap swim hours are 5-6:30 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cost: Free.
