Jazz Pensacola’s Jazz Gumbo

Your favorite Globetrotter stars are bringing out their basketball skill, outrageous athleticism and a non-stop good time. Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, April 18. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features the Whitesands Panhandle Band. 7 p.m., doors; 8 p.m., show; Wednesday, April 19. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. The Filipino-born singer-songwriter beabadoobee (born Bea Kristi) grew up in London and began playing guitar and writing songs at age 17. In 2017, her first original song, "Coffee," became a surprise hit after going viral on social media. She signed a record deal in 2018 with indie label Dirty Hit, which released her debut EP, Lice. Although Kimya Dawson and Elliott Smith influenced her early songwriting, Sonic Youth and Pavement provided the inspirations for the grunge-flavored EP "Space Cadet." Tickets start at $25. Tunes by the Dunes Concert Series

Les Chansons des Roses

7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20. The UWF Center for Fine & Performing Arts, 11000 University Parkway. The UWF Choirs will perform “Les Chansons des Roses,” a greatest-hit song cycle from American composer Morten Lauridsen. Set to French poems of the German poet Rainer Maria Rilke, the five-song cycle for an a cappella mixed chorus is a unified study of elegance, as are its poems and the roses they describe. Additionally, there will be works by Abbie Betinis, Anton Bruckner, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, J.S. Bach, Byron Smith, Craig Hella Johnson and Reena Esmail. The event is free, but tickets are required. Gallery Night

5 p.m. Friday, April 21. Downtown Pensacola. Gallery Night Pensacola is a nonprofit organization with a dedicated goal of inspiring culture, engagement and the practice of arts of all types in an entertaining event for all ages and walks of life. These monthly events focus on specific themes, highlight featured artists and recruit the best creators the area has to offer. This month’s theme is Dancing in the Streets. Cold

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 21 through 30. Ballet Pensacola, 400 S. Jefferson St. Take a trip to an enchanted forest, where mortal and magical beings deliver loads of laughs while looking for love. Artistic director Darren McIntyre presents Williams Shakespeare’s tale of premarital mix-ups in a playful ballet that’s perfect for all ages. Flora-Bama Mullet Man Triathlon

7 a.m. Saturday, April 22. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The Mullet Man Triathlon has proven to be a definite addition to the annual Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party. The 25th annual event is open to many categories and is great for family viewing or participation. Enjoy a day on the beach, in the water and on the path. Navarre Beach Vintage Festival

7 a.m. Saturday, April 22. Navarre Beach Marine Park, 8640 Blue Heron Court. Navarre Beach Vintage is the only car, motorcycle and surfboard show on the Emerald Coast. Gumbo YaYa Cook-Off

Government St. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida’s Gumbo YaYa Cook-off returns with amateur and professional teams competing for bragging rights for the best gumbo in Pensacola. Each individual Gumbo will be judged on taste, smell, color and consistency. Trophies will be awarded to the top three winners. The entry is $20 per three-person team. Pensacola Beach Beer Fest
