MONDAY

National Travel and Tourism Week

Monday through Saturday, May 8 through 13. Visit Pensacola marks the annual celebration of the contributions of the U.S. travel industry. The Hospitality Hero Olympics will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Pensacola Blue Wahoo Stadium. The Tourism Gives Back Community Cleanup at Park West will take place from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Park West on Pensacola Beach. The Hospitality Heroes will be announced Thursday at the Hospitality Hero Award Ceremony and Luncheon. Visitor Information Center open houses will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. The America’s First Settlement Trail Urban Adventure will take place Saturday. Participants will meet in Plaza Ferdinand and be given a tiered start time between 10 a.m. to noon with three hours to complete a game that invites participants to explore the America’s First Settlement Trail, solve puzzles and test their knowledge of Pensacola’s history. Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, May 8. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. TUESDAY

Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, May 9. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Pensacola Beach's popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, Bands on the Beach delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features the Grits & Greens. THURSDAY

Tunes by the Dunes Concert Series

7 p.m. Thursday, May 11. Navarre Beach Marine Park, 8705 Gulf Blvd., Navarre. Tunes by the Dunes is a free concert series held on Thursday evenings. Enjoy a relaxing evening for live local music and food vendors. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own beach blankets and lawn chairs. Hosted by the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. FRIDAY

Nirvanna - Tribute to Nirvana

7 p.m., doors; 8 p.m., show; Friday, May 12. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. For the last seven years, Nirvanna - Tribute to Nirvana, has been touring the USA and the globe with their theatrical replication of a real 1991 Nirvana live show performed in exact fashion. Delivering the hits and fan favorite B-sides that will have attendees singing along. Get out that dusty flannel and those Doc Marten boots and prepare to feel the nostalgia while reliving the Nirvana era. Pensacola Children's Chorus - Showtime

7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 12 through 14. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The Pensacola Children’s Chorus hosts Showtime, a musical revue of stage and screen. A class-act of Irving Berlin’s “Putting on the Ritz” opens the performance, along with songs from golden age musicals like "Guys and Dolls" and "Kiss Me Kate." Audience members will recognize favorites from silver screen classics. Pensacola heritage is also on display at this year’s performance. 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13. Benny Russell Park, 5417 W. Spencer Field Road, Pace. Azalea Garden Club of Pace presents its sixth annual Kids Day in the Park for children ages 4 through 10. Military Appreciation Picnic

Spring Craft and Vendor Fair

11 a.m. Saturday, May 13. Innerarity Point Park, 5828 Cruzat Road. The Perdido Area Chamber of Commerce invites local artists, crafters and businesses to participate in the Spring Craft and Vendor Fair. Monster Jam

1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 13 and 14. Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. The most action-packed motorsports experience for families in the world today returns to Pensacola for a high-octane weekend at Pensacola Bay Center. The Big Scoop

2 p.m. Saturday, May 13. Seville Square, downtown Pensacola. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida invites everyone to the "sweetest" event in town. This family-friendly event will include all-you can-eat ice cream, popsicles, games, activities and more. Tickets are $10; $5 for ages 4 to 11; free ages 3 and younger and Littles with Magic Card. 6 p.m., doors; 7 p.m., show; Saturday, May 13. Pensacola Little Theater, 400 S. Jefferson St. Mountainfilm on Tour brings a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the Mountainfilm festival in Telluride, Colorado. The tour will visit Pensacola with films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. Inferno Burlesque

Rejoice!

7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13. First United Methodist Church, 6 E. Wright St. The Choral Society of Pensacola closes its 2022-2023 season with a program of sacred masterworks from England, Germany and the United States, including music for multiple choirs. Artistic director Peter Steenblik will lead the society’s 100-voice chorus and organist Hyunjoo Kim in Benjamin Britten's festival cantata Rejoice in the Lamb, a moving setting of eccentric, endearing verse by 18th-century poet Christopher Smart. Advance tickets are $20 (adult), $18 (senior/military), $10 (student), $5 (ages younger than 12), and $15 (groups of 10 or more). Tickets will be $5 more at the door. 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. Improvable Cause is Pensacola's best professional improv comedy troupe. Their unscripted shows are sure to bust attendees at the seams with over-the-top, anything-goes hilarity. Everything is created in the moment with audience suggestions, so each show is different. SUNDAY

Mother's Day Murder Mystery Brunch: Murder! at the Art Gala

10 a.m. Sunday, May 14. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. You're invited to the exclusive Mother's Day re-grand opening of the city’s hottest new art gallery. Mix and mingle with the art and fashion elite, such as owner Donatella and her new husband, rival art gallery owner VAS, and the true artist of the group, Raven, along with her mysterious new boyfriend. Main St. This free concert series is one of the most popular events for locals and visitors to spend the final hours of their weekend enjoying great music with family and friends in a great atmosphere. Concert spectators are invited to bring coolers and lawn chairs. Guests of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the cool breeze of the bay while listening and dancing to some of the region's best musical talent. This week features Nobius. More info: 850-436-5670.
