Wesley United Methodist Church Good Friday Prayer Walk

85 Stanford Avenue | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Walk at your leisure during this free outdoor prayer walk in which participants will travel to 12 stations as messages from the Book of Luke describe the parallels between the lives of John the Baptizer and Jesus. Participants should dress comfortably and wear walking shoes. The route is wheelchair accessible.

First Friday at Sangre de Cristo Arts Center

210 N. Santa Fe Ave. | 4-6 p.m. | Event features free admission to all the galleries and a performance by local artist Kelly Feeley, a folk, acoustic, and indie musician.

'Raised by Wolves' at Liminal Space Gallery

107 S. Grand Ave. | 5-7 p.m. | The Pueblo Arts Alliance along with Slow Space Studio will celebrate First Friday by hosting the second annual 'Raised by Wolves' exhibit which focuses on how humans honor and co-exist with Mother Earth. It is a fundraiser to benefit the Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation Scholarship Fund which aids mothers working toward their degrees. Complimentary refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

First Friday Art Walk at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | Events include opening reception for "Artists in Bloom," a guest photographer exhibit featuring Terry Cates' "Fur and Feathers: Neighborhood Critters," the "Landscape 3 Ways" exhibit plus Barbara Jabaily's images on metal and Tom Ossner's "Trout on the Route" art sculpture. Complimentary refreshments will be served and the exhibits will run through the end of April. The show will be featured all month and hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

First Friday at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 6-9 p.m. | First Friday events feature "Findings: A Photographic Journal," by photographer Kevin Malella, Matte Refic's latest paintings and other works by members of Spontaneous Combustion Arts Performance Ensemble (SCAPE) will be presenting a special performance on stage as part of opening night. Exhibits and stage performances will run through the end of April.

120 Riverwalk Place | 7:30 p.m. | Covenhoven is indie artist Joel Van Horne, a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter who will perform songs from his most recent album on his first ever stop in Pueblo. Cost is $15 per person or $40 for a pair of VIP tickets. Tickets are available online.

Saturday, April 8

Easter Eggstravaganza at Beckwood Park

3600 block of Lakeview Avenue | 11 a.m. registration, noon egg hunt | Face painting, games, pictures and concessions will be included. There will be more than 5,000 eggs plus golden egg prizes and a drawing for a gift card to Altitude Trampoline Park. To preregister, go to rockymountainbaptist.com/hunt.

Lake Pueblo egg hunt

640 Pueblo Reservoir Road | 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Each participant will be issued a youth egg hunting license. All ages are welcome and there will be a special area for participants under the age of 6. Instructions and maps for the hunt will be available at the visitor center.

Easter celebration at El Centro del Quinto Sol

609 E. Sixth St. | noon to 2 p.m. | Join Pueblo Parks and Recreation at El Centro del Quinto Sol for the Easter Celebration featuring games, Easter basket raffles, crafts and other outdoor activities for children of all ages. Participants can take a picture with the Easter Bunny. The event is free.

Sunday, April 9

Easter Brunch at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | Session 1 is 11:30 a.m., Session 2 is 1:30 p.m. | Menu includes breakfast fare, fruit, pastries and Pueblo green chile as well as top sirloin and honey ham carving stations, all the fixings and dessert. Cost is $35 for adults, $30 for seniors; $25 for children 6 to 12 and free for children 5 and younger. Advance tickets are required by calling 719-583-4961.

Miguel Espinoza Fusion ensemble performance at First Unitarian Society of Pueblo

110 Calla Ave. | 10:30 a.m. | Lead guitarist Miguel Espinoza, cellist Dianne Betkowski, and bass player Randy Hoepker will perform. Their original music has roots in flamenco, classical, and jazz with North African rhythms, Celtic whimsy, and Brazilian expressions. The group's recordings will be available for purchase after the concert. The public is welcome and admission is by donation. The venue is handicap accessible. COVID-19 vaccination cards and masks are required.

Pueblo Chamber Business Awards Luncheon at Pueblo Union Depot

132 W. B St. | 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. | Event will feature business of the year award presented to Pueblo Board of Water Works and the business leader of the year award going to Scott Hinkle, owner of Property Craft, a construction company that specializes in water, fire and mold remediation. Selena the Show at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open 6:30 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m. | Karla Perez pays tribute to Mexican-American performer Selena with the help of a group of musicians. The show takes the audience on a journey back to the early 1990s as Perez performs Selena's best-loved hits. Cost is $28 and tickets are on sale at pueblomemorialhall.com.

Health Fair at Colorado State University Pueblo

Occhiato Center, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. | 7 a.m. to noon | This 365 Health Fair will offer free and affordable preventative health screenings and resources.

Steel City Sporting Clay Tournament at Republic Shooting Range

4960 44th Lane in Avondale | 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Health Solutions is hosting the tournament to raise funds for client needs. Advance discounted tickets are available through April 14 for $100 per shooter at health.solutions/scsc or $125 on the day of the event.

Great American Cleanup at Fountain Creek

9 a.m. to noon | The Fountain Creek Watershed District is organizing this cleanup in collaboration with local governments, nonprofits, friends groups and neighborhoods. Light of Hope Luncheon at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main | 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Court Appointed Special Advocates will host the luncheon for the first time in three years. Hear about the agency's work and hear an inspiring story from a former youth and volunteer. The event is free. Call 719-583-6326 for reservations.

Free oral, head and neck cancer screenings at St. Mary-Corwin

2004 Lake Avenue | 5:30-7 p.m. | The Dorcy Cancer Center at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital will be offering free oral, head and neck cancer screenings. Appointments are open to the public and involve a painless, non-invasive screening of the head, neck, and mouth. The screening takes less than 15 minutes. Due to a limited number of spaces, appointments are strongly encouraged. To register, call 719-557-4548.
