Be Inspired By Five Black Artists at Pueblo West Branch Library

298 S. Joe Martinez Blvd. | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Journey through the lives of influential Black artists Augusta Savage, Jacob Lawrence, Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kara Walker. Learn about their creativity and struggles from Roncalli STEM Academy teacher Freda Hancock. All supplies are provided. Registration is required by calling 719-562-5600 or visit pueblolibrary.org.

Fish Fry at Christ the King Church

1708 Horseshoe Drive | 4-6:30 p.m. | Offered each Friday through Lent. This Knights of Columbus fundraising event will be held in the church hall and feature fried or baked fish, potato, veggie, coleslaw, roll, dessert and a drink. Cost is $12 for adults or $8 for children 12 and younger. Proceeds benefit numerous charities in Pueblo County.

Fish Fry at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church

421 Clark St. | 6-9 p.m. | The Knights of Columbus will offer dine-in or take-out options Feb. 24 and again March 10. Dinner includes fish, coleslaw, a baked potato and roll. Cost is $10 for two fish or $8 for one fish. Desserts and soda also will be available for purchase. To-go orders can be placed with Jesus Chavira at 719-281-1241, or Peter Velasquez at 719-544-4419. Proceeds will benefit the church and council.

Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. | Paramount presents the multimedia laser and light show featuring the recordings of Pink Floyd. Cost ranges from $33 to $43. Tickets are available at pueblomemorialhall.com.

A Black History of Motown at El Pueblo History Museum

301 N. Union Ave. | 7-9 p.m. | This concert and presentation explores Black history and musical contributions through the lens of Motown. The event features 3 Mo Mezzos, a Denver trio that will take guests on a musical journey through the iconic Motown era and highlight its influence on the Civil Rights Movement, Women’s Rights Movement and the Vietnam War. The event is free and open to the public.

'According to Rumor' at the Impossible Playhouse

1201 N. Main St. | 7:30 p.m. | Showtimes also set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 and March 3-4, as well as 2 p.m. Feb. 26. "According to Rumor" is a British farce brought to life by the local theater company the Impossible Players. United Way Centennial Gala at Colorado State University Pueblo

Occhiato Ballroom, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. | 5 p.m. | Celebrate United Way’s commitment to the community which began in 1923 when locals raised $105,000 by going door-to-door. Throughout the century, United Way of Pueblo County has consistently advocated for equity, strength and healing for all by partnering with thousands of area nonprofits through program support and grant awards. Guests will enjoy dinner, dancing and a program that highlights the past and looks forward to the future. The event helps raise funds to support four main priority areas: youth success, economic opportunity, nonprofit development and crisis intervention. Tickets are $125 each. The blue heeler family are depicted by "brilliantly created puppets," with an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and new music by Bluey composer Joff Bushby. "The Treasure of Art" at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | The gallery will host an opening reception with complimentary refreshments as part of the First Friday Art Walk. Art includes the annual Chavez Huerta K-12 Preparatory Academy show, a demonstration by Debra McCormack, a figurative polymer clay artist, Barbara Jabaily's images on metal and the “Three Views,” exhibit featuring works by three artists who all looked at the same thing and interpreted it in different ways.

First Friday Art Walk at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 6 p.m. | Artists Helen Dunn and Bryan Rivera will showcase their work. Dunn will have a special exhibit titled, “Cracked Earth” and Rivera, a skateboard advocate, will have a group show. Ember will be performing acoustic guitar and vocals.

Ducks Unlimited banquet at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | 5:30-9 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. | The Pueblo Chapter's annual banquet is Colorado's second largest Ducks Unlimited event. The group has conserved more than 575,000 acres of wetland and waterfowl habitat in the past year. Cost is $95 per person $170 for couples or $25 for children 17 and younger. Legally Blonde the Musical at Pueblo Memorial Hall
