301 N. Union Ave. | 5-7 p.m. | Guitar virtuoso Michael Reese of Colorado Springs will perform live instrumental originals and covers from Jeff Beck, Fleetwood Mac, Louis Armstrong, Led Zeppelin, Cindy Lauper, Billy Idol and others.

Sculpture and painting exhibition at Pueblo Heritage Museum

201 W. B St. | 5 p.m. | Pueblo Artist Ryan Yanke − who works with wet and dry mediums, found or repurposed objects, and delves into the art of psychology − will showcase 15 paintings with blacklight and glow-in-the-dark elements capturing the biopsychosocial community and 21 sculptures representing the diverse inhabitants of a healing city.

'The Treasure of Art' at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | The gallery will host an opening reception with complimentary refreshments as part of the First Friday Art Walk. Art includes the annual Chavez Huerta K-12 Preparatory Academy show, a demonstration by Debra McCormack, a figurative polymer clay artist, Barbara Jabaily's images on metal and the “Three Views” exhibit featuring works by three artists who all looked at the same thing and interpreted it in different ways.

First Friday Art Walk at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 6 p.m. | Artists Helen Dunn and Bryan Rivera will showcase their work. Dunn will have a special exhibit titled “Cracked Earth” and Rivera, a skateboard advocate, will have a group show. Ember will perform acoustic guitar and vocals.

Ducks Unlimited banquet at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | 5:30-9 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. | The Pueblo Chapter's annual banquet is Colorado's second largest Ducks Unlimited event. The group has conserved more than 575,000 acres of wetland and waterfowl habitat in the past year. Cost is $95 per person, $170 for couples or $25 for children 17 and younger. 'According to Rumor' at the Impossible Playhouse

1201 N. Main St. | 7:30 p.m. | Showtimes also set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday, as well as 2 p.m. Sunday. "According to Rumor" is a British farce brought to life by the local theater company the Impossible Players. Donate to Skate and Live Music at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 1:30-3:30 p.m. will feature Bryan Rivera of Friends of Skateboarding Arts in a donate-to-skate event. 7-9 p.m., local musicians Morgan Cox and Ashlynn Young will perform. Cox performs a mix of R&B and pop with upbeat, positive messaging. Young is an acoustic guitarist who sings witty and original lyrics. Pueblo Choral Society Concert at Colorado State University Pueblo

Hoag Hall, 2200 Bonforte Blvd. | Doors open at 2:30 p.m., concert at 3 p.m. | The concert, dubbed "The Power of Music - Salvation," will include the Pueblo Choral Society singing with the Colorado State University Pueblo Concert Choir. The choirs will perform the Maurice Durufle Requiem and the American Credo composed by the choral society director David Volk. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors or military and $15 for students.

Legally Blonde the Musical at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | 7 p.m. | The ultimate Broadway tribute to girl power,Legally Blonde,will take the audience from a college sorority house to the Harvard halls of justice with the timely coming-of-age story of an unlikely, bright heroine. Champions of Youth Dinner at Pueblo Convention Center

320 Central Main St. | 5:30 p.m. | The Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo County event honors the 2023 Youth of the Year, Jr. Youth of the Year and Kid of the Year in addition to more than 77 local youth for achievements in academic success, healthy lifestyles as well as good character and leadership. The event also honors this year’s Grand Champion of Youth and the Board of Pueblo County Commissioners. The event includes a reception, dinner, as well as online and live auctions. Mary Shelley Chautauqua at Pueblo Community College

Hoag Theater, 900 W. Orman Ave. | 6 p.m. | Actor and scholar Susan Marie Frontczak will portray Mary Shelley, best known as the author of "Frankenstein." Learn about her other sides as a teenage mother, a behind-the-scenes supporter of social reform and more.

Pueblo Home & Garden Show at Colorado State Fairgrounds

Palace of Agriculture, 1001 Beulah Ave. | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 11-12 | More than 100 vendors will showcase their products and services that focus on remodeling, rebuilding and renovation ideas and products for homes, yards and other living spaces. Tickets are $5 at the door, while military and seniors pay $4 and children 18 and younger are admitted free.

A Synestete's Atlas at Blo Back Gallery

131 Spring St. | 7-8 p.m. | This real-time cartographic improvisation uses projected, manipulated digital maps byEric Theise, in live collaboration with Bob Marsh’s Spontaneous Combustion Arts Performance Ensemble. There will be occasional strobing effects that may impact photosensitive viewers. Suggested donation is $5 to $10.
