Itty Bitty Bits of Art runs through Nov. 18 at Art Center of Burlington. Hours vary. This little art show and sale is a big hit with holiday shoppers. Come see what one-of-a-kind finds you can discover.

Cornerstone Trivia is at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Wedding & Event Center. Check out Greater Burlington’s newest event venue during a fun trivia night! $10 per person for teams up to six. Snacks will be provided; BYOB. Prizes for the winners – and the losers.

Empowering Women 2022 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Capitol Theater. This free seminar is aimed at empowering women to maximize their assets and attain their financial goals. With presentations from local attorneys and finance pros.

Comedy Thursday: Mike Armstrong at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium. The first Thursday is the funniest Thursday in Greater Burlington! You may know comedian Mike Armstrong as the ex-cop on the Bob & Tom radio show, or from appearances on HBO and Comedy Central. Come #LaughWithMike this month on Comedy Thursday.

Friday, Nov. 4

Mindfully Me at 4:15 p.m. at Burlington Public Library. Drop in for an hour of yoga and mindfulness practice with literary elements. Kids will learn fun yoga poses, breathing regulation, calming techniques and how to regulate their emotional weather. No experience needed and registration is not required; best for ages 4 and up.

Friday Night Art Hop is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Art Center of Burlington. Need an adult moment – or 90 or them? Drop the kids (age 3 and up) at the Art Center for a fun evening of stories, art projects and snacks. $10 per child; children must be potty-trained or accompanied by a caregiver.

Manhattan Blockade Album Release Party at 6 p.m. at Wake N Bake Breakfast Co. Local talent makes good: come celebrate with live music from LOVESBLIND, Ali & August, The Slow Retreat and more.

Monsters of Mock at 7 p.m. at Capitol Theater. Relive the glory days with the music that once poured from your dashboard tape player. Monsters of Rock brings four iconic rock & roll bands to life with tributes to REO Speedwagon, John Cougar Mellencamp, the Steve Miller Band and Cheap Trick. Tickets are $20 (premium seating $35) and available at the theater box office and online.

Ned Francis performs from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Moose Lodge #579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St. Fish, Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 5

KidSymphony at 4:30 p.m. at Capitol Theater. The Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra presents its annual KidSymphony with professional storyteller Michael Boudewyns. Adult tickets to KidSymphony are just $5, and kids are admitted free.

Drag & Draw from 5 to 8 p.m. at Art Center of Burlington. Learn to draw the human body with fabulous models – artistic ability not required. The Gallery lounge will be open with beer, wine and charcuterie. $25 per person includes all materials and instruction. Don’t want to draw? Enjoy the show for just $15.

Dueling Pianos at 5:30 p.m. at Moose Lodge. Help support the Burlington Area Homeless Shelter by indulging in a delicious meal, social hour, 50/50 raffle and a fun piano performance. Tickets are $75 or $500 for a table of eight and include a pork loin dinner from Des Moines County Pork Producers and the show. Cash bar.

The Highwaymen performs at 7 p.m. at Legacy Theater in Carthage, Illinois. This musical tribute to country music’s iconic supergroup recreates the roles of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. A must-see for country music fans. Tickets are $50 and available at the Legacy Theater box office and online.

Homeless Shelter Fundraiser at Moose Lodge #579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St. Social hour is from 5:30-6:30 p.m., dinner included from 6:30-7:30, Dueling Pianos 7:30-10:30 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 6

Holiday Open House is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Downtown Burlington. Discover downtown Burlington with this favorite local holiday event! Sales and specials abound, and you can register to win $750 in downtown dollars at each of two dozen participating businesses.

Bel Canto Chorale performs from 3 to 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Reasonable admission for adults helps support this all-volunteer organization; kids through high school age are admitted free.

Francis Verba at 5 p.m. at Gallery Lounge. Accomplished classical guitarist returns to the Gallery Lounge at the Art Center of Burlington as he concludes his US tour. Tickets are $15 and available at the Art Center or at the door. Cash bar.
