As the year winds down, the celebrations ramp up, and there's a proliferation of New Year's Eve happenings around the city guaranteed to help you say "goodbye" (or perhaps "good riddance") to 2021. From family-friendly daytime countdowns and special menus at area restaurants to live music and themed parties, there's something for every taste and budget.

Here's a list of what's going on around the city on Dec. 31.
