During the 193rd semiannual General Conference, President Russell M. Nelson invited Latter-day Saints to “think celestial” in his video address.

“Mortality is a master class in learning to choose the things of greatest eternal import,” President Nelson said. “Far too many people live as though this life is all there is.”

“However, your choices today will determine three things: where you will live throughout all eternity, the kind of body with which you will be resurrected, and those with whom you will live forever. So think celestial.”

He then announced the construction of 20 new temples. He said, “The Lord is directing us to build these temples to help us think celestial.”

Shortly after the prophet’s talk, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints flooded social media with how they’re thinking celestial. Creators on Etsy started to mobilize, putting out sweatshirts, phone cases, signs and other products with the prophet’s phrase on them.

Here’s a look at some of the ways Latter-day Saints are adopting the phrase “think celestial” in their lives and sharing it.

Bonnie Lake Bloomfield wrote a poem inspired and titled after the prophet’s conference catchphrase.

“Fabulous indeed is our Heavenly Father’s Plan! / The more we learn about it, the more we understand. / Father gave us power to choose, a gift He did bestow, / Then sent us down to Earth to see which way we would go.

Our loving Savior’s Atonement opened up the gate; / Now our actions will determine what will be our fate. / The choices that we make while we’re on this earthly plane / Determine what reward we’ll earn, forever to remain.

There are blessings that will make our mortal life complete; / The same blessings that will make eternity more sweet. / The celestial kingdom is our cherished goal, and we will find / We must keep celestial thoughts always in our mind.

‘Think celestial’, we were told - transforming us within; / Making prayers more sincere, as we turn away from sin. / When we “think celestial”, making changes one by one, / Father will be pleased with us when mortal life is done.”
