Third Wilmington Police Officer Injured During Standoff Released From Hospital

The other two officers were released earlier this week.

- The third police officer shot during a standoff in Wilmington has been released from the hospital. The officer had been hospitalized since the shooting at an apartment complex late Wednesday night. Police say Bernard Goodwyn shot the officers after they responded to a domestic dispute call.

After a 12 hour standoff, officers found Goodwyn dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The other two injured officers returned home earlier this week.
