Thirteen spooky and fun things to do for Halloween in Shreveport and Bossier City

Northwest Louisiana is getting ready for Halloween with several events. We take a look at 13 of them.

Oct. 13-31: NecroManor Haunted House, various times, Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets

NecroManor Haunted House is Shreveport-Bossier's first opened first in 2015 and is located at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

Oct. 14: The 2023 SBC Zombie Walk: Zom•Beatz!, 4 to 9 p.m., East Bank District

This year's Zombie Walk will be in the East Bank District and Plaza with an "Energy that’ll Liven Up the Dead." The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana will collect canned food donations to help fight hunger in northwest Louisiana, and LifeShare Blood Center will be onsite collecting donations.

Oct. 20: Murder at the Grand Gatsby Speakeasy, 6 p.m., DixieMaze Farms

This is one of several Friday evening murder mystery dinners at DixieMaze Farms. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. Think of this as a life-sized interactive Clue Game, where you are one of the characters. You’ll be served dinner as you play the game to find out who the murderer is.... Is it you?

Oct. 21: Pet Savers of Shreveport Howl-o-ween Paw-ty, Noon, The Seventh Tap

You and your canine best friend can stop at the photo station before enjoying a beer. Don’t have a canine best friend? No worries. This event will also have adoptable dogs.

Oct. 22: - Shreveport Symphony’s Spooky Symphony, 2 p.m., Caddo Common Park

Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Shreveport Symphony are having a free outdoor concert designed for all ages. Family-friendly activities include art activities, costume parade, food truck, arts market and face painting.

Oct. 25: Not So Scary Stories, 4:30 p.m., Shreve Memorial Library’s Broadmoor Branch

Will Stuck, professional storyteller, presenter and entertainer will perform some not-so-scary stories at Shreve Memorial Library’s Broadmoor Branch.

Oct. 27Mystical and Macabre Halloween Tour, 1:30 p.m., R.W. Norton Art Gallery

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery Halloween tour may take place in the middle of the afternoon, but within their shadow-filled walls, you'll never know. You'll wind your way down echoing halls and creep through mysterious corridors where paintings and sculptures (and other odd items) inspire hair-raising tales.

Oct. 27: Haunted Illusions, 7 p.m., The Strand Theatre of Shreveport

Treat your family to an evening of mind-blowing magic and comedy that gets the whole audience into the act. You’ll be stunned and amazed as master illusionist David Caserta has people levitating, disappearing and reappearing right before your eyes.

Oct. 27: Nightmare on Wall Street with DJ Faze, Midnight, Strange Brew

DJ Faze is collaborating with Strange Brew to bring a spooky, Ghoulish, yet aesthetically pleasing Halloween weekend kickoff party. This will be an ABSOLUTE HALLOWEEN THROWDOWN featuring Halloween-themed music of SEVERAL genres including but not limited to: Hip-Hop, EDM, Dubstep, and UNDERGROUND versions of all of the above.

October 27 and 28 - Rocky Horror Picture Show, 9pm, Robinson Film Center

See the wonderfully weird cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show at RFC with a live in-theater shadow cast performance by Queer Alpaca Productions. Prop bags will be available to purchase at the event for the ultimate audience participation experience, this is NOT a quiet night out at the movies!

October 28Louisiana Classics Auto Club TRUNK-OR-TREAT, 12pm-4pm, Hurricane Alley

Louisiana Classics Auto Club brings you TRUNK-OR-TREAT at BeauxJax Crafthouse Hurricane Alley in the downtown Bossier City East Bank District. Break out the Halloween costumes and bring the whole family. Enjoy an afternoon of safe, family fun, fellowship, some of the best-looking classic cars, trucks, and hot rods in the area.

October 28 - Central Station Halloween Party, 8pm, Central station

Get ready for Central Station’s ‘infamous’ Halloween Party. Come out in your Halloween best costume for a chance at cash prizes! Drink specials all night long so bring your friends, neighbors, and maybe a spooky ghost or two.

October 31Bike Ride with SB_Rides, 9pm

Come join Rich Auntie DaDa with SB_Rides as they Turn Up on a Tuesday Night beginning in the parking lot next to the Asian Gardens. Bike Ride will head to Royalty on Texas in Shreveport where we will make a scheduled 1hr 15 min stop. Royalty Lounge will be the Vibe for Karaoke and great food so get ready to have a good time.
