Thor Jensen, Daphne Lee Martin play Strange Brew Friday

Jun. 30—Two of the region's most creative and stylistically adventurous musicians are Daphne Lee Martin and Thor Jensen. Though each has a vibrant career, they seem to enjoy the not-often-enough opportunity to perform together — which is what happens Friday at the Strange Brew Pub in Norwich.

For the past few years, including during the pandemic, Martin has been working with multi-instrumentalist Kieran Ledwidge on an impending album called "The Starter Wife." Jensen, a longtime guitarist in the Stephane Wrembel Band as well as a solo singer-songwriter, is also hoping to complete a new recording.

This show has heady possibilities with debut renditions of new material from both projects, not to mention clever arrangements from their catalogs. And to sweeten the deal, Dirt Road Radio fills out the bill.
