Though Brockton Hospital is closed, other med buildings are still open, including cancer center

BROCKTON – Although Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is closed in the wake a recent 10-alarm fire, the company's other buildings are open, according to its website.

"We are asking our patients not to delay their health care," said a Tuesday, Feb. 14, update to the site.

"Please contact your primary care physician offices to continue to help coordinate your healthcare. All other medical buildings are open, staffed and accepting scheduled patients."

That includes the Greene Cancer Center and Outpatient Specialty Services on Libby Street plus six other Signature buildings in Brockton.

On Feb. 7, a 10-alarm fire prompted the evacuation of the main hospital building on Centre Street. That building remains closed with no estimate from officials as to when it might reopen.
