Thousands Evacuated in Northern California as Mosquito Fire Grows Beyond 46,000 Acres

Thousands of Northern California residents remained under evacuation orders on Sunday, September 11, as the Mosquito fire continued to burn in the area.

Footage posted to Twitter by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) shows the fire burning. Approximately 5,848 homes were threatened and 11,260 people evacuated in parts of Placer and El Dorado Counties, the PCSO said.
