Thousands in Sierra, Foothills now on day 9 without power after heavy snowfall

Tens of thousands of people across the Sierra and Foothills have gone over a week without power after days of snowfall and significant weather in Northern California. The situation with helping get the lights back on for residents has gotten to the point where several other utility companies have come to assist Pacific Gas & Electric Co after the company called for aid on Friday. According to PG&E, there is not enough space for all crews to park at their Auburn Yard. Currently, PG&E said there are 2,000 personnel working to restore power, including PG&E crews. Of those personnel, 1,200 of them are linemen. The agencies helping include Roseville Electric Utility, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Public Service New Mexico, Tillamook People's Utility District and Lower Valley Energy.
