Power restored Monday after high winds knock out NYSEG customers in Putnam, Westchester

As the region was under a high wind advisory until 6 p.m. Sunday, thousands of NYSEG customers were without power due to high winds which downed trees and power lines in Northern Westchester and Putnam counties. By the end of Sunday, most of the service had been restored.

According to NYSEG, nearly all power was restored to customers in both counties by early Monday afternoon..

Con Ed and Orange & Rockland recorded minimal outages Sunday, almost none weather-related.
