THP: Smyrna resident killed in Rutherford County 'airborne' crash

A Smyrna resident was killed as the driver in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Rutherford County, and a passenger was injured, according to police.

Bradley Allen Anders, 34, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville southbound on West Jefferson Pike, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary accident report.

The vehicle went off the roadway into an embankment. The Pontiac first made contact with a driveway culvert, went airborne for about 25 yards, came to a rest and rolled over, the report states.

A 25-year-old passenger was injured. The passenger's condition isn't immediately known.
