Threats made toward Cumberland County Schools deemed non-credible
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Multiple threats reportedly made toward Cumberland County Schools have been deemed non-credible.
The school district said on Thursday, Jan. 25, multiple threats were made online that did not specify a specific school, prompting school officials and numerous law enforcement agencies to investigate.

Authorities determined the threats originated from one out-of-state minor who used a profile picture of a current Cumberland County Schools student who was not involved with the threatening statements, according to investigators.
Cumberland County Schools said the threats have been deemed non-credible and law enforcement have agencies have notified out-of-state agencies of the minor’s threats.

Even though the threat was deemed non-credible, the school district said extra security measures are being implemented.
