Three bodies found after fire in northwest Arkansas

The bodies of three people were found Sunday inside a burning home in Carroll County in northwest Arkansas, Sheriff Daniel Klatt said.

The Sheriff's Office received a 911 call Sunday about the fire on County Road 3016.

Firefighters from Eureka Springs, Holiday Island and deputies from the Sheriff's Office arrived to battle the blaze.

Once the fire was out, three bodies were discovered in the house.

Investigators from the sheriff's offices in Carroll and Benton counties are working to determine the cause. The Eureka Springs and Benton County fire departments are assisting.

The bodies of those who died were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock, where they will be identified, Klatt reported.

Klatt said more information is expected to be released as soon as possible.
