Three charged after vehicle with two children inside stolen from Wisconsin Kwik Trip

OAK CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) – Charges have officially been filed against two southeastern Wisconsin men and one teen after they allegedly stole a vehicle that had two children inside of it from a local Kwik Trip.

According to the Oak Creek Police Department, the three suspects, who are all from the Milwaukee area, face two counts of Abduction of a Child, as well as other charges for their alleged involvement in the February 4 incident in Oak Creek.

Officers responded to the Oak Creek Kwik Trip in the 6300 block of South 27th Street around 11:25 a.m. on that Sunday after a report of a stolen vehicle. Authorities quickly learned that the victim’s two children were inside the vehicle when it was stolen.

The stolen vehicle was found abandoned shortly after with the two children still inside and unharmed.

The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office has filed the following charges against the three individuals:

  • Bobby Joe Reed III, 21

    • 2 counts of Abduction of a Child – PTAC

    • Operating Without Owner’s Consent – PTAC

    • Bail Jumping

  • Bedee Usama, 17

    • 2 counts of Abduction of a Child – PTAC

    • Operating Without Owner’s Consent

  • Ladarius Latrell Wright, 20

    • 2 counts of Abduction of a Child – PTAC

    • Operating Without Owner’s Consent – PTAC

    • Carrying a Concealed Weapon

All three individuals made their initial court appearance on February 9. No additional information was provided.
