Three civilians killed in Kharkiv region in 24 hours, child killed in the morning

Three people have been killed by shelling in different settlements in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours, with a 12-year-old child and a woman killed in the morning of 31 May.

Quote from Syniehubov: "Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has shelled the Osnovianskyi and Kyiv districts of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv, Izium, Chuhuiv and Bogodukhiv districts in Kharkiv Oblast.

Unfortunately, 3 people were killed: a woman in the village of Korotych in Kharkiv district, a man in the village of Udy in Bogodukhiv district and a woman in the village of Chkalivske in Chuhuiv district.

Details: Syniehubov said that 14 civilians were injured across the oblast, including 4 in Kharkiv, among them a 16-year-old boy. In Korotych in the Kharkiv district, 5 civilians were injured, including a 13-year-old girl. (The morning report from the oblasts reported that 5 people had been injured in Kharkiv Oblast over a 24-hour period).

The shelling of settlements in the region continued in the morning of 31 May. In the village of Ivanovka in the Izium district, a 12-year-old child was killed and one civilian was injured. Another woman was killed in Zolochiv.

Hostilities in the oblast continue. The Russians attempted to counterattack in the vicinity of the village of Dovhenke, but did not succeed and retreated. The Ukrainian troops are holding their positions and inflicting losses on the invaders.

Syniehubov said in a televised report that two missiles had destroyed two schools.

Meanwhile, 1,500 people have been evacuated to Ukrainian-controlled territory over the past 24 hours.

According to the head of the Oblast Military Administration, almost 2,000 people are returning to Kharkiv and the oblast on a daily basis, and there is a large amount of migration within the region. There are some 183,000 internally displaced people in Kharkiv Oblast.

For those who have lost their homes, buildings will be constructed as temporary accommodation, and temporary shelter will be provided in dormitories and communal buildings.
