Three COVID-19 deaths in three days

Sep. 15—In just a three day span, three additional individuals of Madison County have died from COVID-19.

According to the state's COVID-19 dashboard, Madison County has a total of 124 deaths. On Monday, 121 deaths were reported.

The state's dashboard also reported 144 new cases on Sept. 14, for a total of 13,121 confirmed positive cases since the first reported coronavirus case in March 2020.

Baptist Health Richmond is reporting 25 patients are currently being treated for the virus — two of whom are vaccinated, and 23 of whom are not.

There are seven individuals in the intensive care unit, all of whom have not received the shot.

The incident rate has increased since the previous report on Monday to 111.1 cases per 100,000 population, per day.

Madison County is still below the 50% vaccination rate with 47.98 individuals vaccinated.
