Although medical treatment was provided at the scene, Rose, 41, was later pronounced dead at Falmouth Hospital.

Evidence suggests the cause of the altercation was a dispute over $600 and narcotics, according to an earlier release.

Rainey was arrested in Texas on Sept. 28 and brought back to Massachusetts after he waived extradition, according to Falmouth District Court records. He was then arraigned on Oct. 6 in Falmouth District Court.
