Three injured in crash near St. Charles Friday

Feb. 17—St. Charles, Minn. — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash near St. Charles during the early afternoon on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.

The crash happened on U.S. Highway 14 at County Road 119. A Chevy Malibu was stopped in the eastbound lane of Highway 14, waiting to turn left onto the county road. The collision involved a Ram truck also heading east, and a Ford Fiesta heading west. The vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol crash report.

The driver of the 2012 Chevy Malibu, Tessa Fay Ryan, 17, of St. Charles, sustained non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.

The driver of the 2016 Ford Fiesta, Pearly Robert Paapcrabb, 46, of Winona, and the passenger, Sarah Hong, 50, of Winona, sustained non-life threatening injuries. They were transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.

The driver of the 2022 Ram Pickup, Quintin James Ehlo, 19, of Minneiska, did not sustain any injuries and was not transported to a care facility.

The St. Charles Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance and the Lewiston Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance all responded to the scene.
