Three injured in residential fire on Memorial Drive

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Memorial Drive early Monday morning.

Officials say the call came in at 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 28 for a residential garage fire at 5400 Memorial Dr. in the Sajo Farms area of Virginia Beach.

Three patients were reportedly transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, one of which is also being treated for burns.

Fire crews say that six adults, one child and two dogs were displaced by the fire. One cat was found deceased.

The Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family.

According to fire crews, the fire was marked out at 6:04 a.m. The cause remains under investigation.
