The latest release of Dave Campbell's Texas Football high school football rankings had six teams from the Panhandle included in the top 10 of their respective classes.

The Tascosa Rebels (4-1) moved up one spot to No. 9 in the Class 5A Division I rankings following a 45-10 win of rival Amarillo High at West Texas A&M last Friday night. Tascosa's defense has been a highlight all-season and are currently allowing 13.4 points per game.

In Class 4A Div. I, the Dumas Demons (3-2) fell out of the Top 10 following their 38-20 loss to Bushland.

Those same Falcons that took down the Demons moved up one spot in the Class 3A Div. I rankings to No. 6. Bushland has an unblemished 5-0 record heading into their final non-district game this Friday night against El Paso Riverside.

The Canadian Wildcats (2-2) maintained their spot at No. 5 in the Class 3A Div. II rankings following their bye week. Stratford (4-0) was also stagnant in the rankings and will head into their matchup this week against Perryton as the No. 7 program at the Class 2A Div. I level.

Wellington (4-1) rose one spot in the Class 2A Div. II rankings to No. 3 following an impressive 26-13 victory over previously unbeaten Panhandle. The Skyrockets now sit behind undefeated programs No. 1 Mart and No. 2 Burton heading into week six.

Happy (4-1) stayed at No. 6 in the Class 1A Six-Man Div. I rankings following a 56-4 victory over Lubbock Home School. The Cowboys will have this week off before returning to the field against McLean on Oct. 7.
