John Canni from Virginia Beach won $100,000 in the annual Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.

“I just had a good vibe about it,” he later told Virginia Lottery officials.

He and his wife bought tickets at Malbon Brothers Corner Mart on General Booth Boulevard. On New Year’s Day, he checked the $100,000 winning numbers, and found out he won.

Douglas Campbell from Poquoson also won $100,000 in the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle on his first time playing in the lottery. He was one of the seven winners for the $100,000 prize.

On Christmas Eve, Sara Froehler from Virginia Beach scratched her lottery ticket to find that she won $125,000. The winning Holiday Cash 20X ticket was bought at a 7-Eleven.

“The entire family just started freaking out!” she told Lottery officials. “It feels surreal!”
