Three members of K-pop group BTS test positive for coronavirus

Three members of the Grammy-nominated K-pop band BTS have tested positive for coronavirus, Big Hit Music, the management company for the band, disclosed Saturday.

According to a report in Variety, the Korean pop stars RM, Jin, and Suga all received positive tests. All three are fully vaccinated with two shots. They all have "mild or non-existent" symptoms and are isolating individually in South Korea, the report says.

The group, which has seven members, had embarked on their first tour through the United States since prior to the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Each member contracted COVID-19 at a different time. The report indicates that Jin traveled back to his home country on Dec. 6 with two negative tests and did not receive a positive test until Saturday, Dec. 25. RM went to South Korea on Dec. 17 and also got a positive test result on Saturday. Meanwhile, Suga flew to the country on Dec. 23 and got a positive result the following day.
