Three motorcyclists hurt in Willmar crash

May 2—WILLMAR — Three motorcyclists were treated at Carris Health- Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar following an accident on state Highway 23 at U.S. Highway 71 in Willmar at 12:24 p.m. on Friday.

A motorcycle was southbound on Highway 23 when it veered into a ditch and crashed into a cable median barrier, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Two motorcyclists who witnessed the accident slowed down to assist the driver. The two motorcyclists hit each other while attempting to stop.

The first motorcyclist was identified as Chad Eric Larsen, 49, of New London. He was driving a 2016 Harley Davidson FLHX.

The second motorcyclist was Dorothy Marie Rosemeier, 65, of DeGraff. She was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson FLSTNI.

The third motorcyclist was Jesse Charles Lippert, 38, of Blomkest. He was driving a 2012 Harley Davidson FLHTCU.

The injuries for all three victims were described as non-life threatening. No alcohol was involved.

The Willmar Police Department and Carris Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
