Three people, including juvenile, killed in crash on Kansas highway, trooper reports

Three people, including a juvenile, were killed Friday in a crash along K-61 in Pratt County, a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper reported.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:50 p.m. a couple of miles north of Preston.

William Fowler Stevens, 32, of Woodward, Oklahoma, was headed south in a 2004 Ford Taurus when he crossed the center line for an “unknown reason” and hit another driver head-on, the trooper wrote in a crash log. The other car was a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Joshua Jamal Townsell, 30, of Omaha. A juvenile was in the car as well.

All three died at the scene.
