Sep. 18—Three people were injured in a crash Saturday seven miles south of St. Joseph in Buchanan County.

Clinton Pine, 46, of Platte City, Missouri, and a juvenile male, 13, also of Platte City, were northbound and broke down in the middle of the roadway.

Judith Williams, 57, of Atchison, Kansas, was southbound in a Chevy Equinox on U.S. Highway 59 around 8:40 p.m. when she hit the passenger side of Pine's Dodge 1500, according the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports.

Pine and the juvenile were outside of the truck at the time of the crash. The impact of the collision spun the truck into their path.

Pine suffered serious injuries, Williams had moderate injuries and the juvenile had minor injuries, according to crash reports.

All three of them were taken to Mosaic Life Care by Buchanan County EMS.

Williams was wearing a seat belt.
