Three properties top the million dollar sale mark in recent sales

NEWPORT - On Thanksgiving weekend, Ocean View estate in Newport sold after being in the same family for nearly 100 years. It was the latest mega sale of multi-million dollar, historic mansions in Newport County.

The luxury home-sales market continues to remain strong in Newport County, during November and early December, with the sale of several million-dollar homes.

Earlier this year, Seaview Terrace, Clarenden Court, Miramar and Honeysuckle Lodge were sold.

Here's a look at two million dollar home sales and one commercial sale.

This home was built in 1720, and was sold on Dec. 1. It has six bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a fenced yard with a tiered patio. The main house’s three levels of living include a kitchen with a large dining area comfortably seating eight, a fireplaced den, and a large family room at the front of the house. The adjacent TV room offers multiple fireplaces. The second level presents a primary bedroom spacious enough for a king bed with its own fireplace and an en-suite bath. Down the hall in the back of the property is a guest bedroom, a second bath with laundry, and a cedar closet. The third floor offers four bedrooms along with a tub-style bath.
