Three Rivers Arts Festival returns, now held in downtown Pittsburgh

The Three Rivers Arts Festival is back in full swing for the first time since 2019, but in a new location.

According to our partners at TribLIVE.com, the festival takes place through June 12 in downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District instead of its usual location, Point State Park.

“This year is going to be special. Your favorite Festival attractions will still be there, but you’ll also have the chance to discover new artists in a new setting,” said Sarah Aziz, director of festival management for the Trust.

The new location is within a few blocks between Seventh and Ninth streets.

Grammy Award-winning composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Cory Henry opened the festival on Friday night.

Madeline Edwards, who made the list of Country Spotify Artists to watch in 2022, will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. on June 4. She’s best known for combining jazz, soul, gospel, and country influences into her sound, according to the Trib.

Opening weekend will also feature professional mandolinist Sierra Hull. Hull debuted at the Grand Ole Opry at just ten years old. Since her debut, she’s played Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. You can catch her at 7:30 p.m. on June 5.
