Three security guards at a bar were shot on Sunday night in the Maryvale neighborhood of Phoenix.

Phoenix police officers received reports of a shooting at a business near 51st Avenue and Indian School Road at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to police spokesperson Sgt. Ann Justus.

When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a disagreement between a group of individuals and three security guards led to a shooting.

Two of the three guards who were shot had life-threatening injuries while the third had injuries that were not life-threatening.

The shooter fled the scene before police arrived, Justus said.

The investigation is ongoing.
