Three teams tied for lead after Day 1 of SACC partnership
There's a three-way tie for the lead after Thursday's opening round of the San Angelo Country Club Men's Partnership.
The teams of Tyler Ware and Flynn McNabb, Jim White and Cory Adams, and Eric Huedepohl and Eric Haddad fired rounds of 4-under par 67 for a one-shot lead over John Duke Hudson and Colton Williams, and Cody Childers and Warren Smith.
Hudson and Williams teamed up for back-to-back SACC titles in 2019 and 2020. Hudson has won it six times with different partners.
Defending champions A.J. Pursley and Travis Klutts carded a 69, which has them two shots off the pace. They're in a four-way tie for sixth with Anthony Longoria and Jeffrey Frye, Blake Vinson and Nathan Anderson, and Luke Healy and Mike Hillis.
The second round of the four-day event will be on Friday.
The SACC tourney is believed to be the last four-day amateur partnership in Texas.
