Three teens charged with murdering 13-year-old Thomson boy

Three Thomson teens were recently arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy on Nov. 14.

Dequadrez Walker, 18, of Thomson; and Camerin McNair, 15, of Thomson, were arrested on Nov. 17 and are charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, gang charges and felony murder, according to a news release from the GBI. Walker is being held at the McDuffie County jail and McLair was taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.

Teyiceazhia Williams, 16, of Thomson, was arrested Monday and is charged with felony murder, according the GBI. She is being held in the Augusta Youth Detention Center.

At about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, the Thomson Police Department responded to a call about gunfire on the 500 block of Anderson Avenue, according to previous reporting. When officers arrived, they found a 13-year-old boy unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

The GBI said the boy and other minors were on the 500 block of Anderson Avenue when "several unidentified men" approached and shot at the home multiple times, one of which hit the victim, according to previous reporting.

The 13-year-old died Saturday, according to previous reporting. The case was upgraded to a homicide by the GBI.
