Three things to know about Central Ohio Plastic Surgery
LANCASTER − A plastic surgeon has opened a practice in Lancaster, offering services such as breast surgery, facial surgery, and more.
Jason B. Lichten M.D., a plastic surgeon, has opened Central Ohio Plastic Surgery. With a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, the cosmetic surgery center officially opened its doors to patients.
Here are three things to know about the new cosmetic surgery center.
The doctor
Lichten is a board-certified plastic surgeon who had been serving the Lancaster community at Fairfield Medical Center for 18 years before opening Central Ohio Plastic Surgery. He also spent two years at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
The quality that Lichten said sets himself apart is his commitment to treating patients with care and respect.
"I've always taken care of patients the way I want to be taken care of," said Lichten. "I want someone who's going to listen, who's not going to sell you anything."
Lichten said that their mission statement is in every room at Central Ohio Plastic Surgery.
"I want to make my patients long-term partners in health and beauty," said Lichten.
The services
Services provided by Lichten at Central Ohio Plastic Surgery include a wide range of offerings. His options for breast surgery alone are extensive.
"I do a lot of breast surgery, reduction, lift, reconstruction for patients who have had cancer or congenital deformities, as well as augmentation and cosmetic procedures," said Lichten.
Lichten said that he also offers body contouring for patients who have had massive weight loss. He said that he offers cosmetic body procedures as well.
"Tummy tuck and liposuction are the most common," said Lichten. "Brazilian butt lift and fat grafting are popular procedures as well."
Facial surgeries offered by Lichten include face lift, eyelids, and ear pinning, which he said are typically cosmetic surgeries.
Lichten also said that he can help those experiencing skin cancer and other unsightly precancerous lesions on the face.
The location
Central Ohio Plastic Surgery is located at 2656 N Columbus Street, Suite A.
According to Lichten, this location is a more convenient and accessible spot for his patients who come from all over for his services.
"It was convenient for me to start a practice being at the hospital," said Lichten. "But, at the same point in time there's pieces of getting to that side of town that are difficult for patients. We have patients come down from Columbus, come from West Virginia, Cincinnati, so being over here on this side of town seemed to be a more convenient location."
