Three-Time Olympic Medalist Defies Gravity With Amazing 'American Ninja Warrior' Save

Danell Leyva, a three-time Olympic Medalist, just showed us how inhuman Olympic athletes are and used every gymnast muscle he has to save himself from hitting the water on the "American Ninja Warrior" course.

One of the obstacles on the course involved four flexible boards positioned above the water. Leyva tried to quickly cross the boards but slipped on the third and faceplanted into the fourth board.

Don't Splash Out

In a move that left everyone stunned, Leyva flexed his abs and was able to secure and flip himself back on the board!!!

The crowd went wild and the annoucers were shocked. "What a save!" announcer Matt Iseman shouted, while announcer Akbar Gbaja-Biamila said, "I would have never of been able to do that!"

Olympic Medalist

Danell is a Cuban-American gymnast that competed for the United States and is a national champion in addition to being a decorated Olympian.

He is the 2012 Olympic individual all-around bronze medalist and he won silver medals for the 2016 Olympic parallel bars and horizontal bar, so it's safe to say he has incredible strength and skills.

He's Done This Before

Leyva previously "splashed out" in the Los Angeles City Finals that aired last month.

The stunning clip was released on Twitter to promote the 4-Part Season Finale that starts Monday, August 26 at 8/7c.
